CampoSasso | Upstairs

The olive wood herringbone flooring is the showstopper here. It’s so rich and warm and, if it’s possible to feel like a floor is giving you a hug, this floor does just that. 😍

We were able to carve out three separate en-suites upstairs and each bedroom and bathroom have distinct personalities while they all maintain the beauty and simplicity of authentic Tuscan architecture. These spaces all feel peaceful and soothing which is exactly what you want to feel when you wake up in the morning and when you lie down at night. 🤍

Main Suite

BEFORE

This bedroom exudes peace and tranquility. I absolutely love the variation of the olive wood flooring and the herringbone pattern elevates it even further. Dave built this bed out of more olive wood (because we both love it so much!), my friend, Buddy, painted this custom art of the town where Rebecca and Pierre got married and I had this chandelier handmade specifically for this room.

And, the bathroom… I LOVE this bathroom! The TERRACOTTA TUB 🥰 (handmade and signed by the artist!), the handmade plumbing fixtures, handmade tile, handmade sconces and custom vanity all came together to create an authenticity Tuscan, soothing, beautiful main bathroom. I could just stay in this room and be happy.

Wallpaper Suite

BEFORE

The wallpaper bathroom! This small bathroom was once an unused closet…all it needed was a little vintage wallpaper from a cartoleria in Florence, an antique-desk-turned-vanity we found at the antique market in Arezzo, a vintage mirror found at a market in Florence, handmade tile for the shower, handmade lights and a handmade brass faucet to make it perfect. I love this bathroom with all of its quirky character and charm!

And, the bedroom is soothing and beautiful, complete with another piece of art of the beloved Frisbee!

Boys Suite

BEFORE

When designing this suite, I always envisioned it to be where Rebecca and Pierre’s boys would stay. I wanted it to feel a bit more masculine than the other rooms, while maintaining an authentic Tuscan, rustic charm. Most of the pieces in here were sourced at antique markets in the area (and I LOVED finding every single piece!).

In thisbathroom, I wanted to focus on preserving the history of Camposasso … we repurposed the original wooden cow trough (Monte Taurina, remember? 😉) into a unique, modern floating vanity and paid homage to the stunning landscape on the property with the handmade olive-grove-inspired tile. I love how distinct yet authentically Tuscan each of the three bedroom/bathroom suites are.
