Rock the Block Season 3 | The FROG & Laundry

Written by Jenny Marrs on . Posted in .

We really love how versatile our Finished Room Over Garage is. It’s the perfect retreat for guests, but it can serve the family that lives here, as well. It can be a home office or a tucked-away spot for board games, and we added a projector and screen – perfect for movie nights! My favorite things in here are the stained glass windows the kids and I found in an antique store in Charleston, the secretary desk Dave built and the abundance of natural light in this space. It’s a warm and happy little spot. 🤍

The Laundry Room

Now, let’s talk laundry room. The laundry room is located in the main house – separate from the FROG. We did move our laundry room from the small closet in the hall in order to give the family who lives here ample space for this necessary facet of life. Laundry is something that, especially if you have kiddos, is done every single day. You don’t want to be in a cramped little room to do it. You want a beautiful setting, with pretty sunshine streaming through the windows and enough counter space for folding clothes.

What you didn’t get to see last night is the homework station we built into the space across the hall that was previously the laundry closet. Our kiddos even made art to complete the space. So, don’t worry! We didn’t take away the loft entirely, we just reconfigured it!
